Offensive-security skills and lab environments provided by VaultX may only be used against systems you own or are explicitly authorized to test - never against third-party systems, including VaultX's own infrastructure.
Authorized use of hands-on labs
Academy and VCPT hands-on labs are isolated, VaultX-provisioned environments provided solely for learning and assessment. You agree to use lab environments, tools, and techniques only within those environments and only for their intended training or exam purpose. Attempting to pivot from a lab environment to attack any system outside it, including VaultX's own platform, is strictly prohibited.
Account and access rules
- Accounts are personal and non-transferable; do not share your login credentials or let another person use your account.
- Do not attempt to access another user's account, data, or in-progress exam.
- Do not attempt to bypass authentication, rate-limiting, CAPTCHA, or proctoring controls on the website, LMS, or certification portal.
Prohibited activity on the platform
- Scanning, probing, or attempting to exploit the VaultX website, LMS, or certification portal outside of an explicitly assigned lab environment.
- Automated scraping, bulk data harvesting, or excessive automated requests that degrade platform performance for other users.
- Uploading malware, unauthorized scripts, or content unrelated to coursework/assessment submissions.
- Impersonating VaultX staff, instructors, or other candidates.
- Using the platform to harass, threaten, or discriminate against staff or other learners.
Consequences of misuse
Violating this policy may result in suspension or termination of your account, cancellation of in-progress or completed assessments, revocation of issued certificates, and, where unlawful activity is involved, referral to the relevant authorities. This policy is read alongside our Code of Conduct and Examination Policy.
Reporting misuse
If you become aware of a security issue, suspected account compromise, or a violation of this policy, please report it to us promptly so we can investigate.
